My dear younger brother used to have a sweet Nightmare Before Christmas scarf with Jack on itbut, sadly, he lost it. So I, being the thoughtful big sister, decided to make him a new one!

Not only is this an amazing scarf but your brother clearly has an amazing sister who was kind enough to make this for him.

Love it!  Did you have a pattern or just free style it?

Thanks for all your kind words! There was no pattern, I just sort of made it on a whim. I ran across a lovely skein of bulky wool blend yarn in a dark heather grey and I had to take it home with me. It should be pretty easy to recreate if you'd like to give it a try!

The scarf itself is done with the tunisian stitch. The border along the long edge is a simple single crochet edging alternating black and white worsted weight cotton yarn. The short edge border uses the same simple border in solid black.  Jack's face is just a simple circle in the white yarn, with details stitched in black.

Have fun and post pics if you make your own! Happy crafting ;-)
