I've just completed this little felt cardinal ornament.

For those of you who might like to make one, I've put the pattern online here. A quick little project for a snowy afternoon. Have fun!

Yes, thank you for posting. Such a great project, and maybe I can change it to other birds, too. Smiley

This is so sweet, thanks very much for the pattern!
We had an advent calendar as kids that had a small felt ornament to hang up daily, there was a little Cardinal and a Blue Jay that I loved the best. I'll have to figure out a pattern for a Jay now (unless you beat me to it Wink Cheesy).
We've got lots of Robins, lovely Orioles and Red Winged Blackbirds here too. We're so lucky to live where there are so many of birds. Well, except for the time I got dive-bombed and pecked on the head by an angry Red Wing, they are apparently very territorial. Who knew?!
