There are a number of ppl who've done stencils/painting of the letters.... are there any tips and suggestions for this? I've never painted on fabric before. My attempt at bleach pen art was an epic fail. Bright side: I now have a bleach pen for my laundry. Though I *am* going to see if I could talk the local quilt shop into allowing me to play with their embroidery machine to get the lettering done... that would be ideal Smiley

I received Saturday from StickerChic87. What a great package!

Here's the group photo. Isn't the bag super cute w/ the hearts sewn on?

Closeup of the two smaller bags and two pic magnets (which I promptly put on the fridge)

Thanks so much. I truly love everything you sent!

There are a number of ppl who've done stencils/painting of the letters.... are there any tips and suggestions for this?

First, get fabric paint at the store.  I went into my desktop's writing pad or whatever application it was, and went through the texts, to see which one I liked.  I made sure to make it bold, and then made the size of the lettering approximately how big I wanted it on the bag.  After it printed, I traced it onto freezer paper, and then used my craft knife set to cut it out.  It can take a long time since you're being super careful and you have to keep all the "inside pieces". (Inside of the letter A or O or anything in the loops, etc).  When its all cut out I arrange the stencil on the fabric the way I want it and iron it all onto the fabric.  Once the big pieces are ironed on, I'll carefully put the "inside pieces" where they would go in the stencil and then iron those on.  Then I paint it.  Let it dry, paint it again with a second coat, and then while its still wet, pull off the stencil.  I have to use tweezers to get the tiny pieces off just bc I don't want my fingers to mess it up while trying to get it off of there.

Hope that helps Smiley

Bobomom, I love the Pink Panther bag--you lined it!  Very nice!  The lunch bag is really cute too!  Nice mustache-themed items, and candy, and doggie toy--great package!

StickerChic87--great bag with hearts (I do love me some hearts!)  The two little pouches are really great, and nice fridge magnets for a lover of pigs!

FeliciaSlayDCRG--Thank you for telling us how you stencil things; that was a very clear explanation.  It sounds like a lot of work, but the results are so clean that it would be worth it.  I will definitely try this.
