I have a friend that loves lime green, and I found a top hat at Goodwill that was perfect.
Well, almost perfect. It needed something...



...like a paper cutout that turned it into a nautilus crown. Yes. Exactly.

I carry a bag that says FREE KNITTING LESSONS on my daily transit commute, & give a little hands-on tutorial to anyone who asks. They get a starter kit with needles, enough cotton yarn to make a plain dishcloth and a set of instructions. Swaps/donations for materials welcome!

That really is a great improvement. Is it attached, or just wrapped around?

It's tucked under the ribbon, and has a bit of double-sided tape holding it to the felt just in case.
