So I do haunt the Craftster boards a lot, and I've been seeing lots of your lovely socks, I must've mentioned it quite a bit as my mum bought me a great sock knitting book for Xmas.

However, I've never learnt to knit, so I bought a mouse knit kit for 8 - 12 yr olds in the sale after Xmas to get me started, and here is my first critter. I think I'll keep practising until I've used all the wool up.

Any ideas as to what I can move onto, how hard are socks to knit? How do you sort the tension, mine seemed to get quite tight once I was on my way.. all help is greatly appreciated!

I am a relatively novice knitter and I managed mini socks. I want to make a pair of full size ones now, but am going to wait until after my CTS surgery in two weeks. I know I wont finish a pair in that time lol.

I use the sock making 101 course on Knitty.com.
