I was actually trying to think of a way to describe them for a secret santa myself, you put it better than anything I could come up with!

oh thanks! You can all borrow/steal it as much as you like Smiley

here are the mug rugs. I cheated a bit as I didn't have time for binding, so I did envelope style, which isn't too bad since I just used a piece of flannel for the wadding.

Looking for teal/turquoise/aqua, grey and white (or a combo) fabric for a quilt.

My son loves Peppa Pig's brother George and Raa Raa the noisy lion.

Love 'em.  No need for a binding on a mug rug anyway.

I had forgotten to post a picture of this, its a monster high inspired quilt for my kiddo.  It was suppose to look similar to a blanket that came with a bed for the Frankie Stein doll. The top is jersey - the solid colors were super stretchy, the houndstooth was more of a sweatshirt knit and the back is pink houndstooth flannel.  I won't be working with jersey again any time soon, even with using interfacing it still stretched like nobody's business

on her bed with store bought monster high sheets

I finished another quilt this week, but lighting and my cats didn't let me get a good picture before I shipped it.  I'm going to look and see if I have a photo on my phone from when I was basting it

The colors are fun...but I know stretch fabrics are a pain...that is why my t-shirt quilt is still in a box in the garage...I think I might be over it...Cheesy

Thanks Maremare

Always - this seemed stretch even more than regular tshirt material.  It was stretching even as I was trying to put interfacing on to prevent stretching.  Usually I save scraps, but I threw away any extra I had - I don't want to deal with it.
I have tshirts for 3 tshirt quilts when I get brave enough to tackle them

Thanks always.  She's at an age where interests change quickly and where other kids don't necessarily like the same stuff and often express that loudly.  So the goal was for it to have a nod to Monster High, but if we pair it with plain sheets, its just a bright and funky quilt.
