Thanks, Maremare!  Smiley My friend likes scrappy and glow in the dark things so I used glow-in-the-dark thread on the jars. This quilt has taken forever because of all the different little pieces, I've never made something this intricate before. At least it's only ~twin size.

I'm up to 3 quilts for 2012.  Yet another disappearing nine-patch, and a quilt-top I made last summer.  It's tied, which I hope still counts, since I could not for the life of me get our treadle machine to cooperate long enough to quilt.  It really cut the finishing time down, but I don't think I like it as much as the crinkly-quilted ones I've made.

Nice! Tied quilts are definitely quilts! Sometimes we just have to finish projects I think, even if how we end up doing them isn't the way we originally envisioned! I really like the yellow fabric in that one!

I like it guadiknight. It has nice, mature look to it. Plus with the colors you chose, taking a picture of it on your fence among trees really picks up the color scheme.

I just realized I never posted finished pictures of my Rainbow Scrap Quilt!

As mentioned previously, it was whipped up for a silent auction being held to raise money for a friend-of-a-friend who has cancer.  Out of the 29 different stripes of fabric, 27 came from my stash.  One came from a student/friend who just happened to have a color gradation that I needed.  The other one came from Walmart.  (I was trying to use scraps entirely, but the jump in color on the rainbow bothered me until I had one last in-between shade!)  The black borders & backing were purchased also.  The quilting is hard to see, but it is a soft grey thread in a meandering pattern.
