so cheerful raven!

The piecing I did on my animal quilt was from the stashbuster pattern posted by someone (sorry can't remember who!) on last year's thread. The hardest part was deciding where to put the blocks so there was an even distribution of colour and not having all the red or brown to close to each other. So i did one lay out, took a pic and left it for a while and kept looking at the pic to see if i liked it (which I didn't!) so I did it again. This time i made sure there was at least one of each colour in each column and each row. Then i decided to hand quilt the majority of the quilt, going around the animal circles and some of the trees etc between the animals. Then i machine quilted the border parts.

Looking for teal/turquoise/aqua, grey and white (or a combo) fabric for a quilt.

So my quick little project has ended up just shy of king size and I can barely shove it through the machine.

Seeking scraps! I'm in need of a variety of white on white scraps. (2.5inch square minimum) for pixel quilts. Have any? Swap for? PM me! Smiley

I always think my quilts aren't big enough.  Then they turn out to be monster sized!   Shocked

I usually work small.  I hardly ever make anything bigger than a lap robe.  In the last two weeks, I have finished the tops on two bed sized quilts and mostly finished up a couple slightly bigger than lap robe sized pieces as well.

Figure I owe at least a progress shot of something.  This is a quilt for one of the spuds.  It is 50 x 72.  I have the binding on now and am in the process of hand stitching it to the back.  It will be done soon I hope.
