I found inspiration for my first quilt of 2012 tonight.  I loved the focus fabric and the coordinates that I found so much, that I rendered the thing in Photoshop for some instant gratification.  For information on the fabrics, check my reserved post on page 2.

I've got this crazy notion to do it with a black background rather than the more traditional white.  I've got the fabrics all set to go, I just need some time to put it together.

This is awesome! I'm in for sure.

1. Train baby quilt. Completed 1/5/12!
2. Twin sized log cabin-ish quilt for my cousin's dorm room: UFO from 2011. Completed 1/15/12!
3. Queen sized Hope Valley HST quilt for my sister.
4. Finish my mermaid quilt top.
5. Finish my Hope Valley Crossing quilt top.
6. Pick a pattern and make a quilt with the Flea Market Fancy I've been hoarding.
7. Make a great looking camera bag (parts will be quilted, so I think this counts...)
8. Make a Christmas quilt using 'How The Grinch Stole Christmas' panels.
9. Make a quilt using Tula Pink's Prince Charming.
10. Make a twin-sized quilt for Muskoka.
11. Make myself a set of quilted potholders for the kitchen.
12. Join a quilting bee or some kind of swap to make a project.

Good luck to everyone in 2012!

I've done an Irish Chain with a black background.  It was really stunning.  You can see it here:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=277262.0

so many lovely quilts! I will have to spend some time looking at the lists to get more ideas...I tend to buy fabric and then pick a design...I finally bought some graph paper to use this year instead of using my crude drawings!

jennieingram--the nerdy quilt is going to be so colorful and fun for a child!  Glad to see that you are doing a Mason Jar quilt...I still have not used my food fabrics, but I do plan on using the blues you sent!
