Jennie's 2012 Quilt List!

#1. Rainbow Scrap Quilt for fundraiser
This quilt was whipped up for a silent auction being held to raise money for a friend-of-a-friend who has cancer.  Out of the 29 different stripes of fabric, 27 came from my stash.  One came from a student/friend who just happened to have a color gradation that I needed.  The other one came from Walmart.  (I was trying to use scraps entirely, but the jump in color on the rainbow bothered me until I had one last in-between shade!)  The black borders & backing were purchased also.  The quilting is hard to see, but it is a soft grey thread in a meandering patter.

#2. Alien Nerdlet Quilt for Carol's son
I was really stuck on an idea for a new quilt.  I started a blog to help me work on getting through all the quilts I need to make for various family and friends who have gotten married and had babies, but I have what I call "Quilter's Block".  It's a problem where I don't want to work on something until I'm struck by inspiration.  When it hits I usually go nuts and get really into the project.  Today I had one of those moments.  My friend Carol and her boyfriend are having their first baby and between the two of them, they are sure to produce a tiny nerdlet.  I found the cutest/dorkiest fabric to base it around.

Galaxy Visa by Michael Miller.

Simple Circuitry in Emerald, Nuts & Bolts in Sunflower, and Freedom Studded Sky in Red

I've even rendered it in Photoshop!

#3. Surprise quilted project for Pinkleo, as a belated 12 Days of Christmas project.  - 50% Completed!  (Can't reveal the project till I ship it to her.)

#4. 1001 Peeps Quilt for my cousin's baby girl inspired by maguro's Castle Peeps Quilt.  Here it is rendered in Photoshop with a possible sashing & binding choice.  Two other options are below.  Color option A.

Color options B & C.

#5. Hive Star Quilt - Giant Star Quilt pattern, made with the Hive print from the Flora & Fauna collection (in shades of Stone, Raspberry, Mustard & Turquoise).

#6. Split Decision wall quilt with leftover Sandy Gervais Grande Finale fabrics

#7. Mason Jar blocks for my own quilt

#8. TARDIS Quilt for me???

#9. Graduation Quilt or Quilted Wall Hangings for Grace from Art Nouveau panels

Hey, quilting friends!  Do you like to make string quilts?!?!  If so, Quilts for Kids is offering flat rate boxes of "string" cuts for $13.50.  (The cost just covers shipping the huge box to you!)  Here's the information they posted on Facebook:  http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150589736453436&set=a.291456748435.182215.291449943435&type=1&ref=nf
