Hello everybody. I was wondering if you could help me with some inexpensive DIY projects for my kitchen in a cafe'/ coffee shop theme. I found these great Sanka coffee cans at my husband's grandmother's house and I received a painted canvas with coffee cups on them. Here are picture's of the cans:

I read about the company and found out that Sanka made heraldic picture albums. I'm not sure what for but here are a few of them that I found.

I also found some images of some advertising for Sanka coffee from the 1960's (I think) and I may get a friend to paint them for me. I'm not a painter. I have tried, but just don't have the skills.

I have a long kitchen with not much wall space. What little wall I do have has funky brown paneling on it that I can't paint. On one wall I have a large cabinet area that have no doors so I was thinking about painting the back of them blue. There was a sliding glass door in one end but now it's a door and a large window to see out of. I also have a large window where the sink is.
I'd like to have anything/ everything done centered around these coffee cans because I think they are AWESOME.
Can anyone give me any frugal decorating tips, or tutorials? Thanks so much for the help.

Hey Justkat!  Sorry about that! Sad

What about the "soft" items?  Curtains, rugs, dishtowels, ovenmitts?  You could color-coordinate or possibly even print out some of the heraldic elements or old ads onto dishtowels?

You could also frame a few of the Sanka heraldic things and put them up if you could print them out?
