I had a bunch of triangle bases cut out of cereal box to embellish and make a garland. Finally got around to doing it! I actually remembered to take pics of the individual pieces before I glued them onto the string... Photographing completed garlands is something that I'm just not good at! So the detail photos:

Each triangle is about 2 inches tall. It was a great way to use up a little bit of scrap paper. I used tacky glue to attach them to a length of fun fur novelty yarn to make the garland

Here is the garland finished and attached to decorate my bird's cage. Thank you for looking! Smiley

Those pennants look fantastic!  I may have to add that to my list of 50 projects for this year.  Smiley

I've been looking at pennant garlands for a while now (they seem to show up everywhere around Christmas time) but this one convinced me that I need to make my own! This is solidly on my to-do list now! (I'm going to try to alternate one "for me" craft with one gift craft all year, to stay on top of birthdays and be prepared for Christmas when it sneaks up on everyone!)

Also, you have a very pretty bird!

Lovely, and a great way to use up some scraps of paper and pictures!  I might like it a bit bigger, both the pieces and the length but the small is also sweet.

Thanks, guys!

KLKing, I think of them as big different-shaped inchies while I'm crafting them Smiley

Ffrogg, I hope you do! Can't wait to see yours in the 50 projects thread!

Alex, they do seem to be all over the place, huh? Thanks for the compliments on my birdy!

Fancy, thanks! Cheesy

Thanks! My husband and I built the cage over the Christmas weekend. The front, back and sides are plexiglass, so it REALLLLLY cuts the birdseed and feather mess down.

I love this! This is the first pennant garland I've seen that I didn't think was just silly--this shows me how it can be made in a less twee way.

My favorite is the sepia-toned lady in a bathing costume? against text--lovely!
