Does anyone know how to do this stitch, or what it might be called? A friend of mine wants to make a blanket like this. This particular blanket belongs to a patient at the nursing home she works at.

Thanks!

From what I've been able to gather from surfing the net ... it appears that this might be a Waffle Stitch: http://www.flickr.com/photos/crochetdad/624630924/in/photostream/

http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/80986AD.html?noImages=  This is a scarf pattern made using the waffle stitch. I hope this is what you are looking for!!

Gibson--You know, I originally thought the same thing too, but the front post's don't look like they had anything going around them. Who knows though. Thanks!
