I plan on doing a huge craft shop tomorrow for various swaps (and for fun) by going to the "trifecta": Joann, Hobby Lobby and a small local place called Creation Station...also trader joes
AND chinese new year celebration. hot diggity!!!!

Got up at 5:00, checked the school closings, seeing none that affected my day, got ready for swimming and work, drove 8 icy miles to the pool, discovered it was closed, came home, ate breakfast, checked the school closings, seeing lots more but not mine on the list, took my shower, got dressed, checked the closings one more time just in case and YES -- NO SCHOOL!  Time to craft!!!  This means, of course, that I will have to reschedule meetings which will be a pain, but I don't mind at the moment!

I am going to work on some Valentine's Day gifts for my parents today.

I sew also   I have a couple custom orders on my plate to complete for a couple folks, they will likely be next round claims though as we're coming to a close on Jan already.  Finished with the medieval faire, had lots of fun and made some new friends that are actually local!  I'm looking forward to getting back in the crafty groove of things for a couple months.  I may have something else going on in March for a single weekend, we'll see how it pans out on that.

Still hoping for a shop re-vamp next round...any special requests folks are looking for that I may be able to add in for completed or custom items?  Sewing and jewelry are my mainstays.

It's cold here.  Lana has a half day of school so I'm working at home until then.  Really want to go back into my warm bed and sleep a bit more.  LOL.

Actually came into Nollie's today, since most of the snow melted. Had a huge craft-spree planned after work and then my families CNY celebration....I might need to take a nap instead of buying craft stuff. How lame.

Anyone want some house socks? I've been having fun making them on my knitting machine (I have 2 machines now, though my main one is having some problems). I can do thick warm socks for lounging around the house or using with slippers (worsted weight), or thinner socks for areas where thick ones would be too warm (fingering weight). Anyone?

I can't open my shop now, but I should be able to soon. I have one person I want to claim from and then I will have 0 points and need more for a hat I want.

I had a hard time getting the pictures to come out, but here are some pics. I made these for my dad (so they are a mens medium). The red and green ones are worsted weight. I made him some for Christmas, he loved this yarn so much, that he asked for a bunch of more pairs. The blues are thinner (fingering weight). Dad says the thick yarn is warm and cushioning. He was raving over it. I have lots of worsted weight yarn in acrylic and some wool.

Congratulations to all the STS members whose project(s) are in the Best of 2011 this year...atsuko, ptarmic wumpus, sarahj2001, LaughingLark and some of our previous swappers lapoli, sheepBlue, MissingWillow and calluna!  Way to go   (hope I didn't miss anyone there were so many!)
