For Christmas this year I wanted to make something special for two very important young boys in my life so I made them some Hooplas that would help them learn how to spell their names!

I simply found a font I wanted, ( rabbit on the moon is it's title) traced it out and began putting on a lot of french knots outside of the letters... I used 8 skeins of various tones for the green one, and I can't even remember how many for the red and black!

I know that the mom of these two boys really liked them and hopefully they will be able to appreciate them when they get older!

I have some more photos on my blog as well: http://a-can-of-crafty-curiosities.blogspot.com/

Wow, all those french knots - astounding!  They both look fabulous, but I think i like the red and black one best!

These remind me of a hoop I saw in one of the hoopla swaps. I always liked it since I'm in love with doing french knots. Great job Smiley

Those look really cool! I love the scatter effect, especially with the two shades of the green on the first hoop. So pinning this...

I love the effect of these hoops. I also love doing french knots so think it's that much more awesome.

Amazing!  I love the texture, and the negative space effect.  You also chose great colours.

You don't need a permit for a glue gun.

These would be really neat to do on a few blocks of a quilt! Don't know why but they make me think of ants ina  good way.
