I used dark gray and garnet floss to put the lyrics of Belleruche's "Northern Girls" into a pillow.  The song is sort of about heartbreak, so I used the garnet color to put a broken heart on it.  It's one strand on salt colored aida, stuffed with polyfill and backed with some red paisley fabric.

The toughest part is getting the lyrics to line up in PC Stitch.  It takes a lot of trial and error.

The garnet heart doesn't show up very well...if I did it again, I'd use a lighter gray and a brighter red.

That is beautiful and also a bit sad... The heart does show, the broken part is harder to see though!

What a great idea! How long did it take you to make this?
Great work on the word-stitching. Impressive!

BTW forgot to mention, I hit this rocks!

It's subtle, but that works for it I think. Very clever idea.

This is an extremely wonderful idea! When you used your stitching program, did you handwrite the letters using backstitching feature or is there a specific font that allows you to do backstitching text?

I love how you mixed up the colors to focus the meaning. Well done!

PC Stitch allows one to create fonts, whether backstitched or cross stitched.  Once I "drew" the font into their font creator, it was simply a matter of selecting the font tool and typing.  The words had to be rearranged on the pattern to get them to align properly.
