My eyes crossed just reading your description, lol.

Love that hedgehog, super cute!
I've been stitching pillows, whatever I made with my collection of finished squares is going to be so fun. I can't wait!

For all the terrified people, I hear you! I was scared before I did the ATC swap for the first time. I mean, there was a test on the questionnaire! But if you can read down past all the admin posts, you can see it's really straight forward. Have a look at the ONGOING ATC SWAP - JANUARY 2012. I've linked you there to where the action starts, so it's hopefully not too confusing.

It boils down to: see someone post a theme you'd like to make, check you fit their allergy criteria, post your own list and say you are making a patch to fit that theme.

Someone else who wants to make one of your themes will do the same for you. No waiting for partners, no getting partners who like things you don't want to make, no posting internationally if you don't want to, and you can have as many partners on the go as you feel comfortable with, up to the limit. Stuck waiting for all your posted patches to get to their destination? Well, you can see everyone's lists, so if you want to get a head start on the next one, no one will know! Cheesy

Cool - now can anyone point me in the direction of help with organising an ongoing swap?  Cheesy

Also, I just realised that since this is my first swap as organiser, I can't start a new one until everyone has sent and received and gotten feedback. That does not look likely to happen by next week, especially since out postal deadline isn't for two weeks, so I can't start it up on the 1st of Feb. Does anyone want to organise for me next month, or are we all happy to wait until this one is completely wrapped up?

I'm all for waiting on ya, SilverMoon Smiley  Any swaps I get involved with this year will have to be small or ongoing where I can claim when I've got time and when I fit the wants of who I claim from.  I've got some serious need to get some personal projects complete this year, so I've given myself that limitation and am going to try very hard to adhere to it!  Super stoked about an ongoing TM patch swap!

I have been the Ongoing Wish Swap for quite awhile.  I too was scared when I first started swapping in it.  I watched the thread for about 3 months before I ever took the plunge and decided to join, I must say it is one of my favorite swaps.  I love that when I want to claim I just wait till a list pops up that has something I want to create and make a claim.  Then someone gets to do the same for me.  Never restricted to how often you have to claim, so when life gets in the way you just limit yourself.  I would love to be part of a T M patch swap whenever it starts!!!

I've been stitching poptarts for myself the past few days and found a great piece of fabric that was cut too close to the design, edges would have overlapped it when turned over. I devised a simply solution that I thought you might like to see.

Here I stitched a small amount of fabric along the edges that were cut too close to the dragon...

And another, I wanted it to be even on both sides.

The finished patches

Patches I've got ready for embellishing.

And some I've received in previous personal swaps, I have a few more than this.

I put together some step-by-step photos showing how I sew the corners. It's excessively tidy (I have a problem) but you can really see what I'm doing that way.
