I had the idea to put a pocket in one of mine, but I haven't found the right materials in my stash yet.

So here is a question for those that have made a bag out of the squares. How do you assemble the outside of the bag? Do you attach them to fabric? How do you attach them? Hand or by machine? I've been trying to visualize how to do it. I'm close to putting together my DU bag.

Ahhh, pocket = cute!

I'm halfway finished. So far I want to keep them ALL so I feel like I must be on the right track, lol.

I have finished my partner's patches, I was planning on having them mailed out, but we are expecting a snow storm over here, so I will have them shipped out soon the roads are safe. KriSmith- Your patches are almost done, I am half way finished on the 3rd one, and will work on the 4th tomorrow and have them shipped along with my partners package! Can't wait to see your finished bag!

I have been thinking for a couple minutes, at first I was thinking of making a bag out of this patches, then I realize after all of your brainstorming about making a quilt, I decided to smack myself and go down that path. I was actually thinking of having my mom, grandma, cousin, best friend make a patch to add to my quilt. <---- that's a great idea!!

I finished one set for one partner and will mail tomorrow. I'd love to stay up and do some more but 2 teachers already called in sick for Monday. Ugh, I'm going to bed.

I finished the 2 for my partner, then I went back and re-read her questionaire... I don't know what I thought she had written, but it wasn't what my brilliant idea for her patch was, that's for sure.  Embarrassed (thank goodness I looked again before I sent) That's okay, though, I think I'll frame it and send it to a friend for a housewarming gift instead.
My partner sent so many good ideas that I immediately started on another one & I'm having so much fun with it! I can't wait for round 2!!!

Back in the crafting saddle after 2 hectic weekends and a busy prepping week in-between them.  WHEW!  Going to be pulling fabrics and putting together materials to work on my patches through this week, and with any luck I'll be finished by/before the weekend and can mail them out Smiley
