Because I did my pillows in a completely different way, my backs are perfect  Tongue

I chose to fix my front fabric to 2 strips of waste quilt wadding, do the embroidery and then add teh back and bind.

I guess with the TM technique there really is no wrong way, just do what ever you like as long as the finished effect is similar.

HI "nilmerg" I do like your idea of the 2 strips of waste quilt wadding behind the front panel & then put the backing on & then embroidery. That would sure hide all the knots & stitches. I might have to try that. Is this technique for major quilting?  Would a piece of felt work? Thanks

started the actual cutting and sewing last night. I made a list of supplies I thought I would need and hit up Michael's at lunch. Miknessevie's question about seed beads got me thinking a bit. I might try it on one to see the effect.  Wink

Thanks everyone for your responses concerning the backs of the patches. I feel a lot better about mine now... kind of. I started "decorating" through the pillow, but I started in the middle & now it is kind of bunching around the edges. Should I have started from the outside & worked in? Did I put too much stuffing in? (it doesn't seem any more stuffed than the ones shown) Has anyone else come across this issue?
Unfortunately, I was so excited about my idea that I didn't do a practice one first & I don't have enough fabric to start over. I figured I can just undo the edges and resew it after I get all of the "decorating" done, so I'm not worried.
I just thought maybe you guys might have a easier solution for me before I do the second one the same way!   Tongue

i had a bit of bunching. i found adding more stitches flattened em out.  like we quilters say.  "it'll quilt out"  Smiley
