See, you really only need two small scraps of fabric and some embroidery floss, a couple of beads are nice but only optional. I'm always amazed at how easy it is to whip a square or two off. Sigh, OK OK I'll join. LOL.

Whee! One of us! One of us!

Right oh, I'm in Smiley I was planning to make a couple of photo albums in this style as x-mas presents (and... maybe one more for me?) but it seemed a massive project... but if I start now, it'll practically be done by Christmas!

So I just spent about 3 hours working on a few patches and it's not only easy, but fun. I will post photos tomorrow during daylight. The corners are tricky - maybe because I am anal retentive so I resewed a few.

And the embellishing is the most fun. These little suckers might be as addictive as inchies, dotees and dark chocolate m&m's!

Please remember to add your country to your address! I am Australian, so you can't rely on me to recognise US city names, and while I have been assuming people without countries are Americans, you could be from somewhere else and just forgetting to write it, which could lead to misunderstandings and problems come partnering time!

The corners are tricky.

I'm a bit fussy about this too. What I do is stitch one side flat, stop stitching a bit from the edge then fold the next side down over it and stitch an X to hold the corner. Does that make sense? Here's a pic, if you can't see the detail I'll try to enlarge it. The orange and green one in the top left shows the corners best I think.

I'll try it your way. I was trying to fold them, like wrapping a package, and it was too bulky.
And I cut one corner, like you do with paper when making a book cover, and theat didn't seem to help either. So I just over-stitched some of them.

I'll put up a photo after lunch.

I'm in! I was looking for a new Altered Puzzle Piece Swap and found this one instead. It looks fun and I have a new nook that needs a cover.
