I'm feeling a little adventurous this year. For my new year's resolution I decided to finally start my own sewing blog and kick it off with a challenge. I'm going to sew one new garment each week until March.

I finished my first garment on the very first day of 2012! It's the free Sorbetto top from Colette Patterns.

I'm really happy with how it turned out! I'm planning on doing up a few more versions of these later this year. I love how easy and versatile this pattern is.

I like it a lot!  What is the closure - I can't tell if there are buttons, or what.....?

It's a loose fitted top so there are no closures needed. Best part about it!

I would not guess there are no closures; it looks fitted, not loose at all!

Thanks Smiley The original pattern is more boxy, but I took it in a bit at the waist because things like that tend to make me look like I'm wearing a tent. I left just enough room for it to fit over my head.

Really cute! I also really like that even though both the background and the top have very
active patterns, one doesn't take away from the other.
