I've not been here for a long time but wanted to share the pantaloons I made for myself last year. I've made several pairs out of various fabrics, my favourites are the red and purple sari fabric and the purple with the foil print - there is 4 metres of fabric in those babies  Wink
The leopard print velour ones were a Giftmas present for my sons girlfriend. She LOVED them  Grin
The Union Jack print are for a friend.
The floral ones were made from bedding,I love using sheets and duvet covers for new clothes.

I originally made them for dance costumes but found myself wearing them as casual wear  too Smiley

Probably  Wink

I just cut two rectangles of fabric the full width of the fabric by waist to ankle plus 4" for casings. fold them in half lengthwise and lay one atop the other. From the non-folded side cut out the crotch approx 3" or 4" across by 10" deep curving the bottom of the cut. Sew inside leg seams then place legs one inside the other right sides together and sew the crotch seam. Open them out wrong sides out, fold down the waist fabric and fold up the ankles to make casings for your elastic.

Would it be possible to doodle the crotch-cutting part on a piece of paper and share it? I'm a new sewer and always get confused and befuddled by pants or boxers - its hard to picture what your saying.....  I love the pants!!

Ooh, these look nice and comfy. I'll need to remember this next time i find myself with a big cut of fabric.

Also, is that a tattoo, i see? I can't quite make it out on my phone; what is it?
