A happy heart makes the face cheerful! Pr 15:13

I started making these scrappy braided fabric bracelets for the Fabric Jewelry Swap last month, but I used a metal charm for the decoration. (There's a tute for the bracelet on my blog.)

Yesterday I had the idea to make this small wool felt heart and use it instead; I'm very happy with how it came out.

I just cut two layers of felt, freehand, into a heart shape, then sewed on the seed beads to form a flower.  I used cotton embroidery thread for the leaves and the blanket stitch on the edge.

The matching beaded bracelet couldn't be simpler!  It's just a bead mix from Joann's strung on stretchy beading cord.  I love wearing the two bracelets together; I like the contrast of the hard, shiny beads against the soft fabric.

Absolutely beautiful, Leslie.  Your fabric and bead choices are so pretty.  I especially like these bracelets together too!  This ROCKS! Cheesy

I thought I recognized the style and I am right!

Beautiful, Leslie! The felt heart is a good idea for a charm. It can be cut in any form and size.
I didn't notice the beaded bracelet at the first picture, which means it blends well with the fabric one. Nice!

(I made me a cuff like you made me. Now I need to make one of these!)

Thanks for sharing!
