I love to paint storybook art, and many of my pieces are inspired by fairy tales and nursery rhymes. This one in particular is my take on "The Owl and The Pussycat." I decided to try something a little different with the paint...even though the background may look like watercolor, it's actually acrylic paint. It's a new technique for me, but I think I like how it turned out! Any thoughts?

Gorgeous!  Did you thin the acrylics to make them look like that?

Yes, lots of water (using a spray bottle) to create the background. It took several layers to get the right "watercolor" like effect.
