Really?

Have you checked online for video tutorials?  Homeofpoi.com also has a few on their website also, not to mention some of the DVD for sale.  Nick from playpoi.com explains things well.

I think my problem right now is my left arm. It doesn't want to move out of the way. I'm also trying to learn on a pair of make shift poi's. I'm thinking I'm going to have to break down and purchase a set.

At the Yule festival after everone was past out in the tints (most adults). LOL  I got up and was watching the younger teens " light up" for the first time ( If their parents new, I think they would have killed them), but anyways the looks on their faces made my need even greater. I can't wait until my son  and I learn it well enough to "light up". I know I have a long time to wait but it's my goal.

I am so excited about this swap!! Grin

Which moves are you currently working on?

Tights make for a good beginner's set because of the stretch.  I learned using the ones sold during Halloween, the ones that alternative between a black stripe and a fluorescent one (orange, pink, or green).  Just cut them to your desired length, cut a small hole (not too near the edge) for your fingers, stuff them with tennis balls, and go at it.

Hi all...popping in to say hi. I am hopelessly out of practice. I broke my hand at the end of last year and that put a huge damper on fire, and made doing tricks with my hoops unfun. So, it has been months. Luckily we have a gym at work I can practice in, if I ever get a lunch break. Smiley

I really want to take up contact juggling over the winter... nice indoor warm fun. Smiley

Anyway.... back to my book. Night all...

Amymisha, Sorry to hear about your hand. I do some basic juggling. I learned it over the years at  summer camp that  I volunteer at with my son. It's always a big hit along with cup stomping with the kids. I really haven't done much with it though. Cheesy

dreadlocklove, Thanks for the tutorials on Homeofpoi.com. I think it's going to help. I am trying to cross in front of me, but the tutorial shows some exercises to do to prepair for the crossing. I have never see it done that away, so I'm going to give it a try and make a new pair of poi's for myself and my son.  Roll Eyes

Just a few more days left to sign up!

I ask this every swap...  Is there anyone who would NOT want to be in a three-way should we end up with an uneven amount of participants?  If so, leave me a message via private message.

It may sound more appealing if it's phrased a certain way.  =)

I'm looking forward to getting started with this swap.  Another option though is to extend sign-ups a few days to see if someone else wants in.

Another option in making the swap work is for someone to have to separate partners.
