Here is my first progress shot. I haven't been stitching as often as I'd like to, but I'm getting it finished little by little. in the sleeve of her shirt is kreinik, this is the first time I've worked with that and I have to say I absolutely hate it! It kept coming off the needle, it would bunch and tangle, it would snag, it made me want to hang myself with it!!! Ok maybe it wasn't quite that bad, but I don't care for it.

I think I'm going to continue around the main image doing the background because of the lack of colour changes, I feel like I'm making more progress that way  Wink

You're doing great Wrecks!  I hate to hear that about the kreinik.  I have to use that for my next project.  I've never used it before and I was a little nervous about it.

It looks really neat so far!
I read in a magazine putting the metallic or shiny type specialty threads in the freezer before use makes them far easier to stitch with.  No real idea why.  I haven't had a chance to give it a shot just yet, since I read that right after working with a bunch of metallics...  Maybe it will help?

I was bad this weekend, no stitching yet.   Roll Eyes  I do admit having a huge distraction last night.  I got a bunny.   Grin

For the xstitch I am working on, I had metallics in my background, and the simplest solution was to keep it wet (I usually just licked it) and short.
It's a bit longer to stitch but it made it heaps easier.

Finished!!!  Woohoo!!!

So what now?  I have a Halloween Fairy pattern from Nora Corbett that I want to do, and I also have a large scale Super Mario pattern that my son is REALLY wanting me to get done for him.

Most of the black is done on my zombie cross stitch. When I started I thought I would be done by new year. When I see the progress this far, that doesn't feel too unrealistic.

ETA: And I finally reached the only two living people in the picture! Smiley

I need to get my recent pics off the camera.  I'm just being lazy with photos.  I did actually make a bit of progress last week.
