Yes, that's the idea. I've done the whole bottom edge, so you can see how wide it is. It's still going to be a little higher than this, but not much.

Okay, I have a question about the Big Project stitch a-long.  I've started a new project, it's large and complicated and bringing in multiple techniques and even duel fabrics.  It's not a kit or even a predetermined design, it's all in my head and some of it is forming as I go.  When do we consider something relevant for this thread and when do we not?  I'll be getting some progress pics but before I do and before I post them here I wanted to weigh in and see if there were any thoughts or objections to a purely self created big project. I love reading this thread and seeing the works that all of you spend so much time stitching on so I value your thoughts on this subject.  I would doubt that there would be issue but thought it better to check with you all about Craftster online posting etiquette before I make a social faux pas.

As far as I've understood, since the 2008 thread, if you experience it as big and it's stitching, it goes here if you want it to I'd love to see what you've got.

I, too, would love to see what you are working on.  In my opinion, this sounds like a perfect place to post to!

Well that's good, okay, so there is a whole story that goes along with this project/idea but basically my hubby is silly and likes to poke at me, figuratively and literally.  I've a whole plan for this project and only some of actually down on paper or in my blog (wink, wink).  But I can share some pics that I took today.  This is so far done on 22 count Aida fabric (teeny tiny), I'll be mounting it on a natural linen for the second border of silliness.







I'm feeling that I need to pull out the A and re-space it, it's just too large a project to leave it be.  As for the other words I'm going to live with stick and until being that close, it's just too much work to re-do. 

So here is the thing, I used #2 pencil to draft out my letters... what do you think, woolight and a soft toothbrush to remove any left over marks?  I'll have to figure it out if I want to pick out the A and re-stitch it in.

Mrs.Kitty, I agree that moving the A would look better but I don't think stick and until are that bad.

Did you try the woolight idea yet and, if so, did it work?

I will be but I've not gotten that far, my Grandmother passed away this last week so my world stopped.  It's okay, it was just her time. 
I only had just gotten started on picking out the A.  I promise to share pics once I get back to it and especially once I know if the pencil comes out with the woolight. 
On a slightly lighter note I did receive a camera for my birthday on Saturday so yay for the ability to take nice progress pictures.  You can't tell but the idea I have is much more elaborate that what it looks like here... going to be great.
