Since I'm on a roll tonight posting all my projects I figured i should add this one to the mix ;P

This was my gift to my Mum for Christmas, I was still putting on the final touches Christmas day before she arrived for lunch! It was completed a little hastily but I am happy with the result nonetheless.

She is acrylic and pen on wood board, approximately 60cm x 150cm.

I had to add a rather sturdy wire to the back of this one, the wood is quite weighty. Next time I will hunt down some of the little saw-edge hangers rather than relying on a wire. The swan herself is not painted at all, but left in relief so the wood grain shows through. The grain of the wood gives her the appearance of sun-dappled light across her back and wings.

This is beautiful. I love the swan and the way you utilized the wood. Great job!
