I received today from mezcraft - she chose to make me 2 quilled initials, mine and my husband's - they are 7" tall and mounted on stiff paper.




              

She's pretty talented for just having learned how to do this craft.

Nestled amongst all the curves and twirls I found this little item, my favorite part:

I am really glad that they made it to you in one piece. I was pretty concerned about that. Those are also great photos! It must be much sunnier where you are... Not so bright around here...

Hi Folks, I'm looking into swaps to join and this one sounds AMAZING. Love those quilled letters, BTW.

So, my only concern is that I might not have the skill level to make high quality claims.... is it okay if I buy the object on Etsy, or do all the claims need to be made by me? Of course, I'm assuming I'll craft the claims myself, but just want a plan B.

Hello!  I would rather items be crafted by you.  HOWEVER, I did open up this swap to craft supply claims so if you see some supplies on someone's pinterest that you want to buy them, feel free as long as they are okay with supply claims.  Many of us have said in our bio that we would be pleased with supplies. 

Also, you shouldn't underestimate yourself.  You are allowed to claim from anybody's pinterest so you can pick an item you are comfortable making. If you are truly worried, you could always scope out something, try your hand at making it and if it goes well THEN claim that person once you are sure it is turning out the way you would like.   In this swap you only need to make ONE claim the entire month.  So its pretty low stress!
