This has got to be my most favorite thing I've ever sewn.

I used this pattern tutorial to make the pattern - http://www.adventuresindressmaking.com/2010/07/long-awaited-paper-bag-waist-skirt.html#.UIrH0sXLTG8 - not only was it easy to follow, the results were fabulous. All of Adventures in Dressmaking is worth a read-through, from tutorials to inspiration

Here is the skirt! There's pleating in the front and back, and belt loops (one in the back and two in front), and an invisible zipper along the left side.

Very sharp and clean. I like the lines of the skirt and how the waist pleats with the belt/tie. Looks easy to make and easy to wear.

Nicely done. It looks lovely. I also used that tutorial to make a paper-bag skirt and the skirt is one of my favorites, too.
