I got a seriously sweet cephalopod package from Schnerby yesterday, all the way from Australia in just a few days!




Isn't it amazing?! I love the background, it's shimmery. Is it watercolor? I tried to get a close up so you can see the detail.



but my pictures do not capture how pretty it is in person. I'm going to pick up a mat and frame tomorrow. And I also got some really yummy Australian candies! My kids and I thank you heartily.

Wow that is beautiful piece of artwork!

That is insanely quick! So pleased he got there fast.

The background is watercolour with salt sprinkled on to give it that effect. The salt absorbs some of the water and therefore leaves dark marks where it is and light patch around. I brushed some of it off but left some if you want a bit of sparkle. Otherwise just brush it all off, it won't hurt the paint or paper at all. You can also trim the edges if you like but I left them in case you wanted to mat it (which it seems you do!).

I didn't frame it because sending glass that far would require a thousand layers of bubble wrap and I just thought that wouldn't work. Hope that's ok!

It's a crafty ninja and I think it will be living on my desk at work. I'm an art/textiles teacher so I deal a lot with pointy objects. Outside school hours I'm a karate teacher (and wannabe invisible ninja... ) This is a lovely combination! Thank you so much.

I got an awsome package from schnerby today. I completly love it and now need to find a place where I get to look at it everyday.

She wen with my 50's theme and I love it. I wish i could have gotten a closer picture of the picture, it is so 50's, but  kept getting a glare.

I'm so impressed with the mail time! Sending parcels to the USA is so time consuming but it seems flat letter mail gets there really fast.
