Steampunk Nutcracker

I had been getting pretty cranky with making all the Christmas gifts, so in my spare time (AKA the time while gifts were drying) I made something fun for myself. I think he turned out pretty cute. Much better than the plain nutcracker he was when my mom picked him up at the Goodwill. The only problem is I didn't sand him down first and he had a glossy coat so the paint scratches off easily. I'm going to need to spray him with a coat of something or other!

He is AWESOME!  My daughter (12) started collecting nutcrackers at 3.  She loves steampunk...  Dang I wish I had seen this 3 weeks ago!  Ah well...always time to start next years... Thanks for the brilliant idea!

Haha thank you all! And of course you can use the idea! Heck, I stole it from my Mom (She bought the nutcracker for HER to decorate, but she let me have it )!
