It's official! I have weird feet, tiny, but wide and of course, soccer thights that prevent me from wearing boots!
So I have these boots, and way back when I could torture myself into them, but now, they gap open 4 1/2" wide and 5" from the top. So I wondered if I could add more fabric, or what would be my other options.
They are pleather with white thread,

And then I just bought these crochet slippers for 2 bucks, without trying them on, and go figure, my foot is too wide to get in.
So again, should I tear them apart and try to match the fabric? What would be the best tool to get them parted without ripping?

Thanks for ANY help!

I think it would be neat on the boots if you added grommets and laces!  Don't even have to start from the bottom, just from around where the zipper gets too tight.
Maybe for the slippers you could separate the top part from the sole somehow?  Then you might be able to attach some fabric or ribbon or lace or something.  Or at least repurpose the crocheted bit to recon another pair of shoes?

LACE! OMG, yes, I can get a grommet hole maker and put some ribbon in it.
Maybe if I cut the halfway down the zipper and then add some lace in the back, and then lace some ribbon over that.
Thank you!

I think that a thick piece of black sweater ribbing for the boot insert would look great.
