Ooh, you can eat flax sprouts! Highly nutritious! An edible dotee, lol, amazing.

I grind and eat the seeds but never thought to eat the sprouts.   I will have to give it a try.  Smiley

Kmac, they can be a bit tricky to sprout, when you soak them they form a thick gel. If you spread them out on something (a chia pet works GREAT!) and mist them daily you'll get some nice micro-greens in a few days. They have a faint bitter taste reminiscent of the seed or oil but are very fresh and green. Nice addition to salad, sandwiches etc. Not so nice in a green smoothie though if you use too many.
You can spread the goo out on a plate or a paper towel too, just don't let them dry out or get them too wet. And sprout them in a dark place until you see a couple of leaves, then set them in the light to green them up.

Can you tell I like to sprout? Cheesy

I will catch up today with receivers and feedback - I was out sick with a bad head cold. I had to come into work today because 2 other staff members are off. Ugh. But I'll get caught up this afternoon - should be quiet here.

And I started a thread on the New Swap Ideas thread about the next dotee swap... check it out and add your 2-cents!
