I definitely need to organize my stuff.  My hubby so graciously built me shelves in the garage to keep my craft stuff, but at first it was too hot to deal with it and then it seemed like I was so busy with work and finishing craft projects that it's just a big mess.  I'm hoping to find some time over the next few weeks to slowly start sorting stuff.
I had great intentions - I bought a bunch of those 12x12 scrapbook cases as I felt they would be good for storing in progress quilt blocks and stuff, by each project.  I have a massive scrap bins that i would at the very least like to sort by color and maybe, very slowly, cut in to common usable sizes.

So it seems like folks would be open to having the first couple months with challenges that escalate to a more organized stash.  Always open to more suggestions if anyone's got them.  Were there ones we've already done that people particularly liked, or ones I should avoid?

And because I have actually gotten some destashing done, pictures!

I really like the pillow cases GaudiKnight. The blues and greens are bright and happy.

I recently made six from a combination of stash and newly bought just for that purpose Christmas themed fabrics. They are all spoken for as presents for the nieces, nephew and sons.

When my mom saw them, she requested one for a Christmas present.  Cheesy

When I started, I had around 10 yards of fabric and when I finished I had right at a yard of Christmas themed fabric.  Woohoo!  Cheesy

Cute!  Pillow covers are a quick way to use up fabric...and you can mix a lot of fabrics to get interesting combinations...

I made four to test on my hubby...he liked them!  So, I guess I should make more to use up some of the stuff that I have no idea what else to do with! Cheesy

I have quite an eclectic collection of Xmas fabrics. There is one that I bought that I really love but it's quite different to all my others (its kinda fancy where the others are novelty or cute) so maybe just a set of plain cushion/pillow covers with that one fabric will be the way to use it.

Looking for teal/turquoise/aqua, grey and white (or a combo) fabric for a quilt.

My son loves Peppa Pig's brother George and Raa Raa the noisy lion.

I had to give in and buy some fabric today, this takes my grand total of money spent on crafting this year £11.65  Shocked that's around $18.74 for the Americans, I'm pretty well pleased with what I haven't spent this year as I've made over 60 things on my "50 projects" list.

The fabric I bought today was two half metre peices for my Mums Xmas doll. I tried with the stuff I had on hand and nothing was working right.

If I kept track of my spending I would have a heart attack...maybe next year I will do a running total to force me to use my stash!

Hubby & I are both out of work at the moment so shopping from stash is necessary though not as much fun as going to the shops.

This is the doll so far - the stuffing is stash so I can show you riiiight?  Wink
