That1girl - You always have so much to show. Ind it is lovely, too. I love your dollies. And Kookaloo, too. I like your bag - it is so clever to use the pocket parts of the jeans. By the way - I have found a great link for reusing old jeans: http://sewingforutange.blogspot.dk/
I really have been working on destashing this summer. Maybee I didn't make so many projects, but I have tried to organise my stash, sorting my fabrick and cutting some of it up in the right sizes for patchwork. F.x. - I had a lot of old jeans - I cut away the unusable parts, and put the rest nicely away in a crate (nicely for me, that is  Wink).

I also had a very small project - it didn't use much stash, but it has been bothering me for a long time. See, many years ago I made this very wise wizard:
.
But he has a secret - and it was mine as well, namely my laziness. Look what he is hidding under his robe: . But now I have made him a pair of feet's, and stockings to cover them, so now I have one happy wizard! (He ought to have boots as well, but it may take another 5-10 years... Embarrassed

Your wizard will now bring you some good magic! Cheesy  I love his eyes...and his feet! Cheesy

Thanks for the jeans link--I know it takes a lot of time to cut up clothes, especially jeans, but when you are ready for a project, it will be ready to go!  I need to get a bin and do that...it would save me time and room!  Do you save the waistbands and pockets?

Thank you, alwaysinmyroom.

No, I didn't save the waistbands and pockets - I will do it next time, and maybe make a bag like Kookaloos, it is such a great idea.

I have some de-stashing to report, although it is a month late.

I made the "Holding Hands, Feeding Ducks" pattern twice in July because it was such a great pattern.

Once in variegated...

Malabrigo Scarf - close up by AluminumDryad, on Flickr

And then in solid.

Purple Scarf - front and back by AluminumDryad, on Flickr

I finished up most of another scarf, then stalled because I couldn't find the instructions for the final stage before binding off.  Hopefully it will turn up soon.

August has been a bit of a bust on the de-stashing front.  I started working on a shawl, but the stash yarn I had chosen for the project just wasn't working correctly, so I had to do some emergency yarn shopping while on vacation.  Yarn makes a great souvenir, and at least this time I cast on and knit most of it before it made it home to the stash.

Those are gorgeous! So much depth and texture in the pattern...I really love the solid.

I need a very easy and fast small shawl pattern for a dear friend in need...can you recommend one?  I have searched through all the previous suggestions and they are all a bit time-consuming... Sad

that1girl, Kook... You are beasts.

Taramor, i love your wise wizard.

gaudi, beautiful scarves.

Always, I'm working on this shawl right now: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/seven-and-zero
The designer has a ton of pretty, fairly simple-looking shawl patterns.

I've finally had success with blocking, so now i will share the Soho Scarf i made a while back.

Casu Cowl:

While looking around for baby knits/crochets, i found a bunch of security blankets... Which, until then, i only thought of as soft blankets with satin edges. Anyway, i thought they would make some good stashbusters.
Least favorite:

Made with actual baby yarn, so it's super soft and nice and floppy.

This is my favorite. It's blocking right now, so hopefully it will take some of the bumpiness out.

Such a lot of beautiful scarfs - I must try the 'feeding ducks', if it isn't to difficult.
Sorry to ask - but what is a security blanket Huh They are very pretty, so I hope they are not meant to secure against spills and drips and other baby related accidents  Embarrassed

Taramor I love your wizard and I'm sure you (and he!) are much happier now he has feet  Grin Grin Grin

I think a security blanket is another name for a cuddle blanket, something the little one will hug and feel safe & secure.

Lovely scarves Gaudi, I like the variegated one best  Grin

Nice shawl & cowl 'nanaleg  Grin are the blanket squares from a book or online? I have a "K" square but no patterns for the rest of my name  Roll Eyes

That's exactly what a security blanket is.

I found the chart for the 'L' on google images. Same for the 'm'. I made up the 'F', which is why it's so plain.
Here are a couple sites i found in my search that might help:
