Ooo a soap cozy! I know what I'm making with the pounds of cotton I have!  Wink

Love the scrap coasters and pouch.

The felted bars are good for getting paint off your hands. I don't like them in the shower, they get squishy. As for the soap scrap to liquid soap, I just break the scraps and add them to the dispenser with hot water. After time and shaking they start to break down. I just keep using and adding water until they have completely dissolved.

I have been slow to destash lately, too many responsibilities. I need to make a pouch for my soap with lavender, I find it scratchy.

FREE Refreshing Orange Slice Creative Commons by Pink Sherbet Photography, on Flickr

Color: Orange
Pattern: fruits & veggies
For: Traveling, whether your summer holidays are coming to a close, or haven't yet begun, make something for your next trip on the open road or in a hot air-balloon, or whatever your preferred method of transportation may be.
Challenge: Host a crafternoon.  Invite a friend or two (or more) over for craft time, and try to use as much stuff from your stash as possible rather than buying new supplies for the occasion.  New eyes may find ways of using things that never occurred to you.

Ninja Turtle infinity scarf is lovely Bananaleg  Grin as is the Daydream set.

ORANGE! I might get my skirt finished, I've been putting it off because I wanted to wear it for Pagan Pride this month but realised that I can't go  Sad
I love "Crafternoon" and will be using the word as often as I can now  Grin sadly none of my real life/close by friends are crafty which is why I spend so much time on forums interacting with people who are.

I finished this yesterday http://kookaloostarr.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/sirena-fluke-my-caribbean-mermaid.htmlusing up a few of my zillion or so pearls which I unpicked from a donated top and a partial tube of seed beads as well as fabric remnants and stuffing from on old duvet (well washed of course!!)

I've been stocking up for my first market stall, so I got to use a lot of my stash, one of the totes sold, so that was good.

Otherwise I've been learning lace knitting so I really needed some knitting markers.

Nice work Antidigger.

I'm happy to have used up another pair of jeans (well the legs anyway) to make a carrying bag for my hubbys Eskrima sticks. It's a bit like those yoga mat bags you see, a long tube with a flap and tie closure & a single strap from top to bottom. I added a front pocket for his water bottle too.
No pic until later.

I like those markers!

Orange!  I have been putting off making a skirt that has orange and purple mums on them...I will drag it out and make it a goal!

Crafternoon...what a nice idea!

Love the ninja cowl!  The daydream set is also very cute...the colors are just like sherbet!

Love that yarny goodness, bananaleg! The cowl looks so nice and soft!
Your mermaid is gorgeous, Kookie! You're so talented at doll-making.
Good job destashing, Antidigger. I'm afraid I always have grand plans for making things rather than buying them, but I'm such a procrastinator that I just end up doing without.

Thanks B-P  Smiley I'm really enjoying making them and wracking my brains to think of who in my family & friends might appreciate one!
Mum is getting a Christmas doll, my younger sis is (hopefully!) getting a Dr Who weeping angel doll for her 40th b'day this month but I don't think my Dad or brothers would appreciate a doll at all  Grin Grin Grin
