gaudi-  Your bag is cute. I have quite a few fqs that I bought just because I liked them that I really should do something with. I'll have to add the Buttercup bag to my list of things to do.

apm- The naked cupcake bookmark made me smile. Such a cute idea.

Always- I think I would probably be excited if I pulled out a bin and found it held fabric that I had forgotten about. Well if it was yardage. Most of my fabric stash consists of leftovers from projects where I just slightly overbought.

I ran out of black thread so my dress still isn't finished, but I have moved on to other projects - might as well do what I can.

So far 3 floor pillows from stash fleece and shiny fabric - they will go into the castle tent.

Looking for Sophia the first fabric and Frozen fabric (preferably flannel, but would settle for cotton) and Phoomph.  I'm in Canada and the companies are that I could order from charge $20-$30 shipping, so if anybody can find some and wants to swap/sell, I would be eternally greatfull.

Nothing super big to post about. All I am doing tonight is mending dog toys. But I am using stash fabric to do so.

How nice to have a real fabric section at your Walmart, Aprettymess!  Also, those big store we don't have (Joanns & HL) explains it too.  I love seeing your creations with fun fabrics.

A friend of mine gave me a huge bag of drapery samples a few years ago...most of them I cut into strips to make fabric bowls but a few "interesting" ones, I kept to make totes...yeah, it is weird what people use for curtains...and, the fabric was not cheap!  The tag said is was $109 per yard!

thanks so much. i was actually kinda embarrassed to say wal mart because people frown on me for that. but i have got some great quality fabric for as cheap as $1.50/yd there i should be making my dresses soon (class starts in a few weeks) and then you will see some of my cheap fabric

tryskal, may i ask how you mend dog toys? i always throw things out that can probably be fixed
aimr i am excited to see your owl pillows!

heres the nautical pillbox hat i finished yesterday:

you can focus on the ship, or "bon voyage" waves depending how you sit it on your head. i guess you could even focus on the anchors if you wanted but im partial to the other 2 options

aprettymess...I think it depends on what you are making...fashions change so much and let's face it, we all get tired and bored of our clothes and bags...I think it is great to be able to make quick, cheap and fun clothes to wear a season or two...you can always use the money saved for things that will last longer, like a good white blouse, dark skirt, etc. Ignore the looks and just have a blast!

ha ha Your little hats are so cute...
