My rainbow ripple blanket has gone missing in the post  Cry because I didn't pay extra to protect it, but it annoys me that you pay extra to guarentee the service you are paying for in any case so I'm going to have to buy more stash to make another one as it was a gift and I don't have the right colours, all I have is pink.

I finished another swap item out of stash. It was a simple thing that took forever. One of those things that make your hands hurt, so no matter how much you like them, you never make for yourself.

oh no-all that work Milady!  Perhaps it will still show up!  I had a package go missing for 15 months and it showed up when they were cleaning out a postal storage facility!!!

Love the car blanket--that is a clever idea...it takes forever for one of our cars to heat up and a small blanket would be perfect!

love the bags...I truly tried to look over my upholstery fabrics this weekend and just was not at all inspired to use any of it for bags...but, one of your bags looks sort of like a fabric I have and I love that bag!  Maybe I will just give it a go and see what I get!

I did make two curtain panels and a quilt top this weekend...so, just a bit of stash gone...

Sorry to hear about your missing package, Milady. The post office can be terribly frustrating at times.

So, can I ask your collective opinion about the best use for some yarn in my stash?  I've got 2 skeins of Knitpicks Imagination in Pirate King, which I love, and was originally planning on using for a linen stitch scarf.  But as I'm knitting  it seems a bit too busy, or something's just not right that I can't quite put my finger on.  So please tell me if you prefer it in linen stitch or in stockinette (or the right or left sample if jargon isn't your thing).

I think you're right, the linen stitch is a bit busy, I prefer the stockinette.

doesn't it drive you nuts when a yarn is so scrumptious, but it works up "not quite right"  in your head?  I personally like the Stockinette stitch with that yarn, the linen stitch does look a little busy.  However.  What does it look like from a distance?

I am also doing a linen stitch scarf and love love love it!

But, for I also prefer the stockinette in the yarn you are using...not quite sure why...I think perhaps that the linen stitch seems to me to be better suited for short runs of many yarns or complete solids...it is a blender stitch and your yarn is a strong patterned one...does that make sense?

I love the colors, btw...and such lovely yarn...yummy!

I'm an odd one, I think it looks great in the linen stitch  Grin
