Gomerrific, the garland is so cute! But I have to ask, what are scratcher cards? Are they like scratch-and-sniff, or more like lottery cards?

Under each of the pink hearts is something that is a gift for him. You scratch off the pink paint and it reveals it just like a lotto scratcher or whatever they're called! lol I saw it on here. You mix two parts paint and one part dish soap and paint 3 or 4 layers on packing tape, then stick it on top of the written "prize" shape (in this case hearts) and cut out then stick it to whatever. It was a lot of fun to make.

Oh, ok I get it. That's cool! It also sounds like something that would be great for kids, too--I'm going to have to try that.

It is pretty fun! And even tho I know what's under the paint it's fun to watch it be revealed. I guess you could do it for just about anything. I think it would be perfect for the kids the only thing is you have to wait til each layer is completely dry before painting on the next. So a lot of waiting initially

I used up half a skein of Carons Yellow soft arcylic and Lions brand thick black for a dos sweater. I posted in my 50 projects in 2012, but since It used a good amount of what I had already I get to post it here. Yay! I also just made up a pattern using his measurements in simple rectangles, at least he looks happy about it.

So I bought a butterfly loom at hobby lobby and have been playing around with it. So I pulled out some green varigated yarn that I bought like 6 years ago (before I knew how much yarn a pattern takes) I made a ripple blanket for my husband and had left over so I made a matching baby blanket for my daughter and had left over so I made a sweater for my mother and then I made a hat, booties and baby blanket for a friend and I still have almost 3 lbs of this yarn. One of my goals this year is to use up this yarn I love the colors but hate the yarn it just taunts me. So I have made 4 squares out of the yarn with the loom today and I am gonna make a blanket out of it with my new toy.

Here is a sweater for my dog with left over yarn she loves it.

I found the large butterfly loom on clearance and ordered a magic size one in so I could learn on the smaller one. I like it so far. But I think a thicker or fuller yarn would work better. Here is the link for the loom and if you look under pattern you can see some things made with it.
