I bought 2 pairs of jeans to make denim whale stuffies (because that's just what we need, more stuffies, lol) so I didn't have any more denim but now I do. Sigh.

Nice armbands Kookaloo, and FREE fabric = awesome!

Your man is so funny, k-star!! Grin

I love the rainbow wristwarmers...what a nice way to use up bits of knits...

Hubs gave me four more pair of jeans but only the back legs are useable...the knees are blown out, the ass is worn out...he thinks I am going to patch them for him...NOT! Cheesy  I am cutting those suckers up and making him get decent ones!

What is it with dudes trying to salvage the most torn up useless rags-trying-to-pass-as-pants? At one point I was stitching patches on top of 2 layers of other patches! You practically need a nail gun to get a needle and thread through that mess and for WHAT?! So your man can look like a hobo? Argh. I mean, I'm all about reusing and recycling and repairing but hems, knees and ass blown out? Oh, I don't think so... Time for a quilt I say!

thank you! There are certain sewing tasks that I refuse to do...Grin

I managed to use up about 5 yards of curtain fabric!  I bought tons when the drapery store went out of business...I needed some curtains for a doorway to my laundry room...now what to do with the other 25 yards...

I hear you on the patching! I only patch Matts workwear because I hate spending money on the damned things just to have them come home full of holes on washday. I'm using up one pair of my sisters jeans to put a denim sleeve on one pair of overalls. Luckily he got supplied with a leather smock last week (woo! one that actually fits him) so burnt out sleeves won't happen so often.

Your curtain fabric sound slike my swimsuit fabric Alwaysinmyroom. I have an endless supply of hotpink lycra with seahorses and seashells and no idea what to make with it  Roll Eyes I never even made the swimsuit I bought it for. I needed a couple of yards, I got 40 for 5  Grin

I've just cut out a back & front for a tunic for myself out of donated orange knit fabric. I don't have enough to make the sleeves to match so they'll be pink & turquoise with some orange thrown in, much the same in style to my armwarmers  Grin I'm building up to making a fantastic Katwise inspired coat.
