I made a few crochet hearts for something red and Valentine-y. I also have two hats done and another in progress. I have not uploaded pics yet but I'll share when I finish. I worked a lot this weekend on crafty stuff!

Ok so I found this craftalong  awhile ago and I was reading got to page 11 and my husband asked what I was looking at and I told him. So with his encouragement and my desire to destash I am wondering if I can join the fun a little late.

That1girl, I love the hat and gloves set. It's such an interesting pattern. Reason #255 for learning how to knit.

I'm working on a couple of crocheted afghans and I made some earwarmer headband thingies. I also destashed bits of paper making cards. However, I've been too lazy to take pictures of anything. :/

Last week I started an art journal with an old spiral-bound book I've had around forever and some paints I already own as well. I've always been intimidated by painting, but I've really been inspired by a few blogs I follow and I'm having so much fun playing with new techniques and ideas. Maybe I'll share pics when I've got a few pages done.

I love the way irish crochet looks, so I love the scarf and all the wee flowers on it.

I can finally post about a couple of projects from last month now my swap partner has received. So here is one of the bags I made for her.

The material is leftovers from a fancy dress costume I made, oh, 8 years ago or so. The highlight fabric came from an obsolete curtain swatch book that I've been slowly using over the last 5 years. Even the paint has been in stash for 15 years-ish.

ysmeine--love the scarf and your idea for display for picture taking!  I need something for hats as well...maybe a balloon head paper mache!

I finally used up a few yards of fleece that I bought for a baby blanket.

Love those round scrappy coasters!

k-star--my hubby wears those--doo-rags, we call them...I bought him a few at the Harley Davidson store but they were expensive!  I took an old one of his and made a pattern...he likes them because they soak up sweat from his head and protects it as well and is not too hot...they were meant to be worn under motorcycle helmets, so I bet they work well under welding helmets as well!

My friend has been teaching herself to crochet and has been making gnome hats. Those kids are going to look so cute!

Forgot to mention earlier, but those gnome beards are adorable! That's a neat party theme!

Antidigger- love the tree bag

alwaysinmyroom- I need a head too. I am thinking of getting a Styrofoam head to decoupage the same way. I don't think I could do a decent balloon head. It would need a neck. Possibly a cardboard ring, so it could stand up. The tied end could be the chin and tilt the balloon. You would have to make the ring taller in the back. I can see it in my mind now though.

I think the scarf looks better with the flowers tacked down securely.
