Aprettymess,  I wonder if your lining was a bit big?  It looks like you sewed an 'envelope', turned it right side out, filled it with the lining, then quilted it.  If that's how you did it, then the machine would have pulled the fabric smaller, leaving your lining to big, causing it to buckle like it does.  If you pin pin pin pin pin pin the heck out of it, it's less likely to pull, too.

Thanks for chiming in-  I have had this happen but not realized fully what i was doing wrong.  This makes sense and I am pretty sure is what happened to my item.

No problem! I'm just passing on the advice I've heard Smiley

One and a half more crafting days 'til February (more or less)!  Time for mad crafting sessions to finish up your January goals, tallying what you've accomplished, and taking pictures of anything that may have slipped through the cracks.

But no pressure.  If you want to just brew a pot of tea and cuddle with your iguana for the remaining hours that's okay too.

*passes barbeque sauce for the iguana*

Okay, my partner in the Sherlock Holmes swap just received, so I can claim some stuff. Her pics are much better than mine, so I'll just link to the post.

The large box with the dancing men decoration started as a plain blue box that candlesticks originally came in-I had to rip out the lining and paint inside and out. Thrift store, ages ago. The small asian inspired box was an unpainted wooden box that was a yard sale find, decorative images I'd cut and saved from an unusual soft drink can, and an old gift card I'd painted. The decoupage-the frame, filigree, and mini magnifying glass were in my stash. The necklace is made from parts of two different necklaces in the supply stash, and the charms taken from a bookmark-I'd bought several bookmarks just to reuse elements from ages ago. I have such a hodgepodge of crafting supplies....but I'm making a dent in them!

Just posted these in the 50 projects thread, but these are all from stash. Down four and a half skeins of yarn, woo.

vampedangel14, love the bag! I've been wanting to make a crochet bag again, like a market bag. maybe next month.

I finished another pet bed over the weekend, but it's basically the same as the other one I posted, just with different yarn, so I didn't take a picture. I've already started another, which will probably be the last one I make for a while.

I also got rid of the owl hat and toddler afghan, since this weekend was the baby shower.

I also went to a surprise 60th birthday party for my aunt on Sunday where I gave her the 3 dishcloths I posted a pic of a few days ago, and she was so excited to get them! Before she opened her gift, my cousin brought up how she was having such a hard time learning to knit, and I suggested that she try crocheting instead, since I prefer it over knitting. Then my aunt said she really liked crocheted dishcloths, and I said, "Then open your gift from me. I made you something! " haha

I can now see a noticeable difference in my yarn stash. It's starting to look a lot more manageable!
