Wonky or not, that's adorable, APM. I wish I could help... Despite sewing being my first love, I'm actually not all that good at it. Smiley

I have projects I need to get done, so I'm obviously working on other things. (I need a facepalm smiley...)

First, this cowl.

And these mitts (just like the black ones I posted recently). These are my fifth pair of the same pattern.

The mugrug is cute! Cannot give anyone advice on wonky sewing, since my last sewing project came out wonky as well.  Cheesy

I want that cowl!

MiLady, that crash sounds horrible, I hope it gets sorted out soon and that you're not too out of pocket.

MeganCrafts, I love that morsbag, you made it out of the most amazing bedsheet.

Bananaleg, that cowl looks so cosy and warm and the mitts are in such a pretty stitch.

I was quite busy and productive recently, firstly a WIP that has been hanging around for a while:

Finishing a WIP counts as destashing right?

Also a good use for a beat up pair of trousers that have been hanging around in my stash for about 6 months

And this I have either been stashing for 2 yrs or 27, take your pick!

Love the fingerless mitts!  I like that it has a "thumb"!  Lovely color, and you really can't have enough of them!

anitdigger--love all of your destash projects from other projects!  The headband is a great way to "save" a piece of your clothing history!

I also love the bag...cute fabric...I bet the skirt will be cute as well!

aprettyness--did you make the back and the front of the mug rug the same?

Most quilt backs are either one or two fabrics and much more simple shapes, such as rectangles, etc.  That way, the quilting does not have to be so exact on the front...if you do a pattern on both sides, you have to be very very accurate in matching your patterns and seam lines to quilt in the ditch...I still think it is cute and will be useful...I love mug rugs and use them a lot!

Aprettymess,  I wonder if your lining was a bit big?  It looks like you sewed an 'envelope', turned it right side out, filled it with the lining, then quilted it.  If that's how you did it, then the machine would have pulled the fabric smaller, leaving your lining to big, causing it to buckle like it does.  If you pin pin pin pin pin pin the heck out of it, it's less likely to pull, too.

I have not posted in awhile...checking in to say that I ~love, love, love~ what everyone has done.  I have been at a complete standstill with "white", "stripes" and "for me", but I did empty part of my white stash by giving it to my daughter to practice hand sewing with.

I am hopeful that February's theme will inspire me a little more and I will be able to get more completed with it.

Looking forward to February!  Smiley

I just revieiwed all of the amazing destashes this month to get some ideas...I noticed that a lot of yarn was being destashed!  I am adding the following to my list of projects to do:

Morse bag
barefoot sandals
scrappy crochet scarf
scoodie
pet bed
elastic waist skirt

I hope to destash more fabrics in February!!  See you guys for the February challenge!
