Crafts can't keep me busy all the time!

Think I need to join you all in this venture. Since I moved from the dorms to a rather spacious house a year ago, my stash has pretty much expanded to fill all the available space in the craft room. Almost seems like my fabric is breeding...

Going to try my hardest to finish my couch slipcover and matching chair over the long weekend. Uses a lot of fabric, and they are striped!

Love everyone's projects so far!

I find that crafts are very good time wasters. If they aren't for you, then you are one of those rare individuals who know what you're doing!

It is incredible how much space home fabrics take up...I have a washbasket filled with curtain fabrics that my hubs reminds me would be empty if I would just make the curtains...I really hate "necessary" projects...

yes, I agree Always, the necessary projects always seem so unfun, but I've made a rule for myself - no opening new laptop{it's a toshiba} or sewing machine {It's a brother} until:
bedroom and craft room are cleaned and organized
shelf cover is made
sewing machine cover is made
cricut cover is made
laptop cover is made

so probably another week until I get to really have fun Undecided

Thanks for all the comments about the scarf!

Here's a sneak peak of the toddler afghan I'm working on, all from my stash. It's just going to be the same 4 colors repeated. The dark color is navy, since I'm not sure if you can really tell that from the photo. This is my first time using the ripple pattern. If I can finish this before Jan 28th (the date of the shower, the baby is already 6 months old... the parents adopted him.), I'll make a matching owl hat to go with it.

it was my nephew's first bday last week and here's the card I made him. It's not a lot of stash that's been used, but its a start! I have somehow accumulated a rather large amount of papercraft stash and tbh this card is probably the first proper card I've made (or any other papercraft). I am pretty happy with it, I know my sister liked it, even if my nephew was too busy playing with wrapping paper to notice! Smiley

Looking for teal/turquoise/aqua, grey and white (or a combo) fabric for a quilt.

My son loves Peppa Pig's brother George and Raa Raa the noisy lion.

nisforneville-that is going to be a gorgeous afghan.  Love the colors and design.
mellybelly81- nice card!

I started work on  a stash busting journal cover last night and realized it is going to take A TON of projects to make a dent on my stash.  Especially if I do things like Journal covers.  But I am happy with how it is coming a long.  I made a goal to not buy any new items unless it had a specific immediate use.  So far I have not bought any crafty goodness.  But I admit it has been difficult.  I need more thread but I keep resisting going to the cloth store because I know I will probably walk out with far more.   AAhh the temptation.  Then my husband sends me an email that one of his coworkers wives is getting rid of her stamps for dirt cheap, and do I want any?   ...He does not know about my no shopping goal -I did not want to fail miserably and have him know Wink
