striped scarf I started last night and finished tonight.

colors used: black border on both sides, then blue, light pink, aqua, brown, gray, purple, white, navy, mauve & lavender

I used this scarf as inspiration: http://crochetincolor.blogspot.com/2011/12/scrapadelic-scarf.html

next up, I'm going to try to finish a toddler afghan before Jan 28th. I think I'll try a ripple pattern.

I love your scarf!  I like how you used the ends as fringe---no hiding ends! Cheesy

I wish you would post it on the scrappy crochet-along as well... please? Cheesy

I agree. I hate weaving in ends, and that solves the problem. I just may have to steal that idea.

Crafts can't keep me busy all the time!

Think I need to join you all in this venture. Since I moved from the dorms to a rather spacious house a year ago, my stash has pretty much expanded to fill all the available space in the craft room. Almost seems like my fabric is breeding...

Going to try my hardest to finish my couch slipcover and matching chair over the long weekend. Uses a lot of fabric, and they are striped!

Love everyone's projects so far!

I find that crafts are very good time wasters. If they aren't for you, then you are one of those rare individuals who know what you're doing!

It is incredible how much space home fabrics take up...I have a washbasket filled with curtain fabrics that my hubs reminds me would be empty if I would just make the curtains...I really hate "necessary" projects...

yes, I agree Always, the necessary projects always seem so unfun, but I've made a rule for myself - no opening new laptop{it's a toshiba} or sewing machine {It's a brother} until:
bedroom and craft room are cleaned and organized
shelf cover is made
sewing machine cover is made
cricut cover is made
laptop cover is made

so probably another week until I get to really have fun Undecided

Thanks for all the comments about the scarf!

Here's a sneak peak of the toddler afghan I'm working on, all from my stash. It's just going to be the same 4 colors repeated. The dark color is navy, since I'm not sure if you can really tell that from the photo. This is my first time using the ripple pattern. If I can finish this before Jan 28th (the date of the shower, the baby is already 6 months old... the parents adopted him.), I'll make a matching owl hat to go with it.
