WOW! 13 pages already! There is some pretty awesome stuff being crafted.

Me? I'm working on altering my work pants. We have to wear a uniform that is given to us. Apparently the people they make these for are really, REALLY tall. And they have really long waists. Since I am a short legged, short waisted woman....I have to alter both the tops & the bottoms. And this is even made more fun because I have to do it all by hand. I will say my stitches are getting very small & uniform though.

I'm also working on setting my little duplex in order. Been here for almost 2 years & I still have stuff in boxes cause there just isn't room for all of it. So I'm starting my spring cleaning early & taking my time. If I try to do too much at once I will definitely turn myself off from doing any of it.

Still have to make: 2 scarves on the knifty knitter loom; 2 stuffies for a friend who just had a baby.

You guys make me feel like a slacker!  I have my white on the table, WIP, but still have not come up with anything for stripes.  And you all are posting competed stuff already...ouch!

I was house sitting this morning so took some yarn along and made a start on my hubbys sweater (again, the dog unravelled the first one  ) I got 50 rows done, so glad he's not a big bloke or I'd only have managed half that

do any of you use anything for you hands when they hurt from crafting... eesh im only 25 and already need a brace 

I have that problem too.  I crocheted for maybe a half hour last night and my hands were starting to hurt.  I think I may need to invest in some ergonomic hooks.

Such a clever dress/skirt, aprettymess!  ha ha I think one yard might cover my butt...but not the front!

The knit is very flattering on you! I use a tiny zig zag when I sew with knits...I have a stretch stitch but I do not like how the seams stretch out...I also use a ballpoint needle (just be sure to change it when you switch to regular fabric!)...

wow tryskal!  Your company should provide a machine--maybe even pay you to fit uniforms for others!

I've noticed that my thumb feels the same way after a long day of crafting as it does after i've been on my phone for a while... and i found exercises for "texting thumb" that have actually really helped me. Haha. It sounds silly, but my hand really feels better after i've done them.

I tend to not stick to the themes, but i think i might actually give it a shot this year...
So, here's my for me. I call them my new year new slippers.

I used buttons i got in a swap last year.
I'm not totally satisfied with them. I'd like to make a pair in wool, or some other natural fiber, soon and compare them.

White (i actually finished this late in 2011, but i didn't post in the 2011 destash-along, so i figure it wouldn't hurt to post here):

After i took this, i crocheted all of the snowflakes onto a chain to make my friend a snowflake garland or bunting.

And a headband because i keep seeing them all over the interwebs, and i'm sure i'll be able to find a home for it.

White challenge met. This is an adipose, an alien from Doctor Who. I used a free pattern from ravelry. Pictured next to the TARDIS indigo_rose crocheted for me in the Random Swap.



And I have enough yarn left to make one for a friend, too!

bananaleg, I like the crochet snowflakes! Do you have a pattern for them?

I love the headband!  Very "rosie the riveter"...

The slippers are also very cute! I need to make tons of slippers because I sleep in them when it is so cold here!

hmmm-crochet snowflake garland...great way to use up the balls of crochet cotton I bought a few years ago!  they are so cute when they are tiny like that!
