Ok instead of posting to all the boards I belong to, I will just post the link. I used a good amount of yarn stash to bust out these amigurumis of Futurama's Fry & Leela.

Ok so I love the lelia and fry. so cute

I had to post I just finished my green blanket. I am so proud of it I just have to take some pics and make my husband pose for me lol. It isnt as big as I hoped but it is a perfect lap size. It is truly a sampler I tried out 5 sqares so there are five rows of 5 squares. Nice and warm. Cant wait to show pics. Plus since I finished in march it can fall into the green catagory for me.

destashers I have done a terrible thing! Out of necessity I had to go to get some buttons... To get the required number of buttons on cards it would have cost 12 dollars. So I begrudgingly grabbed them... Then I walked around the corner and there were mixed bags of buttons for only 9 dollars. And since the buttons won't be seen I figured that in a 250g bag (I think about 9oz?) there should be a sufficient number of 3/4" buttons. I was right, but I now have 9oz of buttons (minus 20).

Looking for teal/turquoise/aqua, grey and white (or a combo) fabric for a quilt.

My son loves Peppa Pig's brother George and Raa Raa the noisy lion.

I stopped feeling bad about adding to my stash even though I still have stuff to go through. If it makes more sense money wise, then good.

Also, sometimes it's just nice to get something new.

Woe, alas! Grin Mellybelly, I might suggest a penance of making/decorating a container to keep said buttons in, thereby claiming it as a way to inspire you to do some destashing.

So I broke down and bought a tank top and 4 yards of material to turn into a maxi dress. So adding to my stash but I do have a project in mind. Now to make time to get out the sewing machine.

I agree with you, meleriffic, if it makes more sense moneywise...

I made another button ring.

So, there's some green. Smiley

And yesterday, my sister-in-law asked me if I could make something for a newborn and a 14-month-old baby. So, I made a couple hats.

I found a site with a guide to how big hats should be for different ages... I hope the site was right and the hats fit!

Last night was my church's monthly craft night and I actually remembered. Since I had already finished my swap item earlier in the day, I decided to make a baby hat. I still need to make a flower for it.
I thought the yarn looked a bit like bark so the edging has a cabled forest and the flower is a dogwood. I like how the button goes with the yarn. the top is sort of a upside down tree branching out.

I used wire, beads, ribbon, and monofilament for swap item and yarn of course for the hat.

Wow, your hat is amazing! I love the whole story of it, and it's so cute.
