Yay!  Just finished weaving in the ends on yet another giant granny square for a church collection. (Those of you who have followed the thread in the past may remember previous ones).  The problem is that the yarn wasn't actually in my stash at the beginning of the year.  Grampap found a bunch of yarn at the goodwill and kind of threw it in my direction, so in order to get enough coordinating yarn for this I had to actually buy yarn.  Just one skein, though, and I used up at least half of it.  But it still added to stash.  Cry

Anywho, enough with the grumping and on to the pictures.  Et voila!

And a close-up, because I like the way it turned out.  You can play "Spot the Variegated" if you like.

ok so that granny square blanket is adorable love the colors. I always get to about row 10 and get bored, but I love it. And you had to buy a skein to help your grandpap with stash he bought you so we shall call it even on that one.

I love that granny square! The colors are gorgeous!

I've been procrastinating about the bookmark swap, so I've been crocheting. Embarrassed
But hey, I finished a blankie for my mom's chihuahuas and finished off some yarn in the process! And the ends are woven in, which for me is a real achievement.

Roll Eyes You can see where I ran out of green and pink. Roll Eyes I wanted to do a ripple blanket because the only crocheted FO that my mom's ever made was a ripple afghan, so I felt like I was doing some heritage crafting (or something).

Good use of that yarn, gaudiknight!

Also love the colors in the doggie blanket!

ok so I have 11 squares made so far on my loom and I am down to one large skien of yarn.

I also made 3 pairs of earring yesterday not much stash stuff but some. And I have another set started. Now I have to make something to hold these earrings in a nice way.  I think this way.

also if you have some fabric stash you would like to get rid of here is an idea for a swap I thought I should post

Those earring holders are excellent!  I am so bad about just throwing mine in a dish and then having to scramble for pairs...I have earring holders but they are a pain...hope you don't mind if I borrow your idea for my favorite pairs!  I found a boatload of wooden hoops when I was cleaning up my embroidery threads and junk drawer!

Also, I apologize, but what is that next to the yarn?  A loom?  How does it work?  Did you make it?

I have seen another brand at hobby lobby. You make squares that can be joined for blankets. I have looked at them as i tend to gravitate to anything fiber. I haven't used the small loom things I have though. I have a whole collection of tools I don't use.
