So I bought a butterfly loom at hobby lobby and have been playing around with it. So I pulled out some green varigated yarn that I bought like 6 years ago (before I knew how much yarn a pattern takes) I made a ripple blanket for my husband and had left over so I made a matching baby blanket for my daughter and had left over so I made a sweater for my mother and then I made a hat, booties and baby blanket for a friend and I still have almost 3 lbs of this yarn. One of my goals this year is to use up this yarn I love the colors but hate the yarn it just taunts me. So I have made 4 squares out of the yarn with the loom today and I am gonna make a blanket out of it with my new toy.

Here is a sweater for my dog with left over yarn she loves it.

I found the large butterfly loom on clearance and ordered a magic size one in so I could learn on the smaller one. I like it so far. But I think a thicker or fuller yarn would work better. Here is the link for the loom and if you look under pattern you can see some things made with it.

I used a pair of jeans yesterday, broke two needles on my overlocker whilst making my "thing". It's for a swap so I can't say too much  Wink

Since I've got to move everything out of the studio back to the teensy weensy spare room here (can't complain, at least I have a spare room!) I went in yesterday and sorted through stuff and made a mountainous get-rid-of pile. There is always just so much what-if and some-day junk cluttering up the place, lol. I think I've pared it down to manageable amount now though. Then I got an email from my cousin asking if I have any fabric scraps to send her, lol. Boy, do it. So I'm packing up a box for her and 2 more for mystery parcel delivery to unsuspecting crafters, lol! I'm going to make a quilt for myself to use up all the gorgeous scraps people have sent me. I've been so inspired by all of you so thanks!
